Ryan and Sam met at Columbia as freshman in 2009. Sam went on to get a machine learning and comp sci masters degree at NYU, while Ryan was building an Enterprise Software Sales Career in San Francisco (most recently at Google & Stripe).
Over the years, sports group chats turned into paid fantasy football leagues, turned into bets between friends and eventually an infatuation with betting. Sam went so far as to become a professional bettor and when sports wagering became legal in 2018 the two friends saw an opportunity.
With legal sportsbooks in New Jersey, they found a large liquid market to play in and together expanded the operation. Unfortunately, there were no software tools available for managing a bottom’s up betting enterprise so they built them themselves along with their friend Ramzi.
